Description

Supposedly named after Domenico Tauro, the mayor of Terlizzi (near Bari in Puglia) at the end of the 18th Century. An Italian seller claims the brebas can reach 300 grams. It seems to be a semi-common san predro type variety. Some, including us, have certainly gotten main crop figs, while others state they get nothing but droppers. Initially, it was a dropper for us, but started producing tasty coconut flavored main crop figs by the end of its first season. Our young tree has not yet produced brebas.
